Plywood is made by combining layers of wood veneer, which are bonded together using a specialist adhesive. During construction, each layer of veneer has its grain rotated 90 degrees to the layer below it, to achieve cross-graining throughout the sheet. This is designed to maximise the strength of plywood sheets, and reduce the risk of the wood splitting, shrinking or expanding.

OSB3 (Oriented Strand Board) sheet boards are another type of engineered sheet material. They are made by combining layers of strands of wood together using specialist adhesives.
OSB3 sheet boards boast high levels of strength and moisture resistance. This means that they can be used for structural purposes and in humid conditions.
As a result, they are widely used for both interior and exterior applications, such as in roof structures, or as wooden flooring in load-bearing and generally harsh conditions.
MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) sheeting is another example of an engineered wooden sheet.
These sheets are made by breaking down residuals of wood into their fibres, then adding wax and a specialist binder, before using heat and pressure to form the mixture into panels.

Knauf Wallboard is Plasterboard with an ivory paper face. This makes it ideally suited to receive a plaster finish, or for the application of direct decoration.
In compliance with BS EN 520, Knauf Wallboard is subject to initial type testing and continuous factory production control. It also bears the CE mark.
