What is the difference between Skirtings and Architraves?
Skirtings and architraves are both extremely popular additions to property interiors.
They are widely used as decorative wooden features for walls, doorways and windows, offering both aesthetic and functional benefits.
While both skirtings and architraves are decorative wooden boards, skirtings are used on interior walls, while architraves are added to doorways, windows and other openings.
Skirtings are positioned along the bottom of interior walls. These wooden boards are then painted to match the rest of the wall. They add an elegant finish to the wall, while also neatly covering the joint where the wall meets the floor.
Similarly, architraves are also wooden boards, but these are positioned around doorways, windows, and other internal property openings.
